How this information and referral service works

An independent publisher, not a repair company. Here is exactly what an inquiry does and does not set in motion.

The site's independent role

This site publishes independent information about sliding patio-door repair for homeowners and residential property managers in Plano, Allen, McKinney and Frisco. It is operated by the publisher named on the about page. It is not a repair company, does not employ technicians, sells no parts, and has no financial arrangement with any repair business at present. Once a repair provider is verified for a city, the site can introduce inquiries to that provider with your permission.

How inquiries are handled today

When an inquiry is accepted you see a confirmation page; the inquiry is stored and a notification to the operator is queued. The operator's commitment is to read each accepted inquiry and reply by the contact method you chose with the next step. A provider introduction happens only once a provider has been verified for your city and only with your permission. The notice near every inquiry form states the current operating mode, and the area hub shows the operating mode for each city.

The review process

  1. Once accepted, your inquiry is stored and a notification to the operator is queued. The confirmation page shows nothing from your submission.
  2. The operator reads it and sorts it: within scope for the four cities and the four repair topics, outside scope (for example glass or a garage door), or a question that can be answered directly.
  3. If information helps, the operator replies by the contact method you chose.
  4. If a verified provider exists and your inquiry fits its confirmed coverage and door types, the operator asks you before sharing anything. Nothing is passed on without that permission.
  5. Any visit or quote is arranged between you and the provider, which is responsible for its own work and terms.

A response timeframe is shown on the contact page only once the operator has committed to one.

Later permission-based introduction

Before any provider is introduced, the operator verifies its business identity, the door types and hardware it supports, the cities it covers, any minimum job or travel limit, and the claims it is willing to stand behind. When you are introduced, the provider is named and its role explained. The site never presents a provider's technicians as its own. Inquiries received before a provider was introduced for your city are not handed over later without a fresh request to you.

Limits of a photo-based opinion

Photographs let the operator, or later a provider, say whether a problem looks like rollers, track, alignment or lock, and whether a visit is worthwhile. They do not establish what is wrong, whether parts exist for your door, or what a repair will cost. Anything said about your door before a visit is a preliminary opinion, and it can be wrong.

No appointment until confirmed

Sending the form does not book a visit, reserve a time, or create a contract with anyone. If you hear nothing, nothing is scheduled. For an urgent problem, especially a door that will not lock, contact a local service directly rather than waiting.

Your information

Your inquiry is used to reply to you and to understand what people in these cities ask about. It is not used for marketing, and there is no newsletter sign-up attached to the form. The privacy notice explains storage, retention and deletion. The terms describe the site's role in more formal language.

Complaints and corrections

If something here is wrong, or if you believe an inquiry was mishandled, contact the operator through the route on the about page. Corrections are made on the page concerned and the page's modification date is updated.
